Find Out 8 Easy Quick-Fix Salads To Lose Weight

When you want to lose weight, you know that salad is one of the best & the guaranteed option you have. A green salad can be a great addition to your diet plan. It's healthy, nutritious, low calories and
very easy to prepare. Open your fridge & check what vegetables, fruits, and greens you have in and put it in your salad. Any vegetable that you can eat raw is good to go in the salad. Make your salad colorful and beautiful, otherwise, you will get tired very soon. Salad doesn't have to be boring or tasteless. You can play around with your vegetables, greens, beans, and proteins to make it look beautiful and colorful.

I am going to give you 8 different salad ideas that you can shuffle around in your week. Try these very low-calorie salads and lose weight the healthy way. So let's talk about your grocery list for your salad.
Greens (The Base):

Spinach, Lettuce, Kale, Chard, Cabbage, Arugula, Collards, Cilantro, Parsley

Veggies & Fruits (The Crunch):

Cucumber, Carrots, Bell Pepper, Sprouts, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Reddish, Beetroot, Celery, Avocado, Tomato, Onion, Apple, Peach

Proteins ( The Must):

Beans, Eggs, Chicken, Cheese, Steak, Tuna, Tofu, Paneer, Quinoa, Nuts, Avocado

Toppings (The Look & The Taste):

Seeds, Olives, Jalapeno, Banana Peppers, Raisins, Cranberries, Nuts, Cheese

Dressings (The Taste):

Fruity, Vinaigrette, Creamy, Mustard Base, Lemon Base

So, the above list will help you make your own list. Now let's talk about dressing. There are mainly two categories of dressing: Creamy or Vinaigrette and they both have many versions and flavors so you really have lots of choices to make. I prefer vinaigrette dressing over creamy dressing especially when I am trying to lose weight. I like to make my own quick dressing every time. So here are my two dressing recipes.
Ingredients for Dressings:
1. Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Cold Pressed Hemp Oil
2. Balsamic Vinegar
3. Lemon
4. Honey
5. Salt & Pepper

Recipe#1. Balsamic Vinaigrette: Mix 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp balsamic vinegar,  1/2 tsp honey, salt & pepper to taste. Whisk them well and it's ready to serve.

Recipe#2. Lemon Dressing:  Mix 1 tbsp cold-pressed hemp oil, 1/2 lemon, 1/2 tsp honey, salt & pepper to taste. Mix them well and it is done.

Now let's make your salad.

1. Beans Salad: Wash your choice of greens and veggies well. Cut greens, veggies, avocado and red onion. Add black beans and any topping you like. Enjoy this with Balsamic vinaigrette or the dressing of your choice. Black bean salad is a good salad choice for vegetarians.


2. Chickpea Salad: Cut onion, tomato, romaine lettuce and add chickpeas in it.  You can use canned chickpeas or fresh chickpeas. For fresh chickpeas, soak them overnight and boil in the morning, also add some salt for the taste. Enjoy it with your choice of toppings & dressing. This is also a good salad for a vegetarian or a vegan. Enjoy this salad with lemon dressing.


3. Paneer Salad: Paneer is fresh cheese, very common ingredient in Indian cuisine. Cut paneer into nice dice size pieces and add it to your choice of green & veggies. Enjoy this with Balsamic vinegarette dressing.


4. Quinoa Salad: Quinoa is very healthy, protein-rich grain. If you need the recipe for how to cook quinoa then check my recipe "Quick quinoa and saute veggies recipe". Cut lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber and add quinoa in it. Mix it well. Add your choice of toppings and dressing.


5. Spicy Baked Chicken & Bean Salad: Bake some chicken breast with Indian spices. For the recipe, check my article "Spicy oven baked chicken recipe". Now cut the chicken into small pieces. Cut lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion & avocado into small pieces.  Mix them well. Add chicken & enjoy this with balsamic vinaigrette.


6. Grilled Chicken With Salad: Grill some chicken breast & enjoy it with your choice of salad. you can cut the chicken into small pieces and add to your salad. Add some topping and enjoy it with lemon dressing.


7. Egg Salad: Very simple again. Boil 2 eggs. Mix lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado well. Add your choice of toppings and dressing. Enjoy it with eggs.


8. Chili Tortilla Salad: This one is a tasty treat. For this salad, you will need some tortilla chips and chili. For chili recipe check my article "30-minute chili recipe". Add tortilla, black olives, tomato, and some lettuce to chili. You can also add jalapeno and avocado. Enjoy this super delicious Salad.


I didn't mention adding cheese in any of the above salads because I don't eat cheese. You can add cheese on all salads just keep the quantity low if you are trying to lose weight and Enjoy!
