20 Natural Remedies To Get Rid of Dark Spots And Blemishes

There are many different beauty products in the stores that claim to clear dark spots and blemishes and promise to give clear and vibrant skin but these all chemical based products are very harsh to the skin and honestly, we don't even know the chemicals that are being used in those products. They might in some cases give very quick results but direct application of chemicals on the face is always scary. So here are some natural remedies that you can try to get clear skin before going for chemical based products.

1. Papaya Mask: Take fully ripe papaya, mash it well. Apply it on your face for 15 minutes. Rinse once its dry with warm water.
2. Lemon Juice: Lemon is a great source of vitamin C antioxidant which helps in clearing impurities of skin and blood. Lemon has the tendency to get rid of even the most stubborn blemishes. Apply some lemon juice on your face, leave it for few minutes and wash your face with warm water.

3. Vitamin E: You can also experience blemishes and dark spots due to the deficiency of vitamin E. Start taking care of dark spots by consuming vitamin E supplements and by applying directly vitamin E oil on the blemishes.

4. Milk: The lactic acid in milk help in clearing the pores and get rid of dead skin. Take milk in a small bowl and dip a cotton ball in it. Rub milk on your spots for at least 5 minutes every day until you get the desired result.

5. Potato: Cut potato in the small pieces, keep in the fridge to cool, once it's cool, rub it on the affected area and wait for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, rinse your face with warm water.
You can also make a fine paste of grated potato and honey and apply it on the affected area. Wash your face after 10-15 minutes.

6. Castor Oil: Dip a cotton ball into the castor oil and rub it on the affected area in the circular motion for a couple of minutes every day.

7. Onion Juice: Grate a piece of onion nicely, now squeeze it in a bowl with the help of cotton clothes or a strainer. Apply this onion juice on dark spots with cotton. leave it on for 5-10 minutes and wash your face with warm water.

8. Almonds: Soak 4-5 almonds overnight. In the morning, peel off the skin and make a fine paste of almonds. Now, mix almond paste, 1/4 tsp. sandalwood powder and 1/4 tsp. honey in a bowl. Now apply this paste on your face or on the affected area, leave it on for 20-25 minutes and wash with warm water. Repeat this process every day until dark spots are gone.

9. Aloe Vera Gel: Mix aloe vera gel, honey, and lemon juice in equal quantity. Apply it on your face. Wash your face after 15 minutes.

10. Buttermilk: Mix 1 tsp buttermilk and 1/4 tsp tomato juice in a bowl. Apply it on your face, leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Wash your face with warm water. It will not only help with dark spots but also with moisturizing your skin.
You can also mix 1 tsp. buttermilk with 1/2 tsp lemon juice and apply it on your face for dark spots and dull skin.

11. Tea Tree Oil: Drop few drops of tea tree oil on a cotton ball and dab it on your affected area. Let it sit for few minutes and wash your face with warm water.

12. Tomato Juice: Mix equal amount of tomato and lemon juice. Dab it on the affected area and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Wash with warm water.

13. Honey: Mix some honey and lemon juice and apply on your face. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Repeat this every day until you get the desired results.

14. Cucumber: Peel a piece of cucumber, squeeze it well to get the cucumber juice. Now mix the cucumber juice with lemon juice and apply it on. Leave it for 15-20 minutes.

15. Carrot: Carrot juice should be used both internally and externally for better skin. It prevents acne, heal the skin from damages and get rid of scars faster.
16. Sandalwood: Mix some sandalwood powder, glycerine and rose water to get a fine paste. Apply it on your face. It will help in getting rid of scars and also give you smooth glowy skin. Try this for a month for desirable results.

17. Garlic: Grate 2 cloves of garlic and apply it on the affected area. leave it on for few minutes and wash your face with warm water.

18. Apple Cider vinegar: Dilute apple cider vinegar with water and apply it on the blemishes with the help of a cotton ball. leave it for few minutes and wash with warm water.

19. Egg: Get egg white and apply it evenly on your face. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and wash your face with lukewarm water. This mask helps in getting rid of blemishes and also prevent wrinkles.

20. Neem: Take 5-6 neem leaves, make a thick paste with water and apply it on. Leave it on for 15 minutes. Repeat this every other day for better results.
Extra Tips To Prevent And Get Rid of Blemishes:

1. Drink enough water. I can't stress enough on this one. The water helps in getting rid of any impurities in blood and help in giving you clear skin.

2. Always use the clean brushes or makeup applicators.

3. Never poke or irritate the affected area by touching it, it only going to make your skin worse.

4. Always remove your makeup before you go to bed.

5. Eat clean & healthy.
