Antioxidant Powerhouse Smoothie For Liver Detox And Weight Loss

The liver is the busiest and hardest working organ in our body.  It works day & night to get rid of toxins and wastes from our body and we keep adding more toxins and chemicals in it through food, medications, household cleaning stuff, air pollution etc.. In this article, I'll share a smoothie recipe and the list of benefits you are going to get from all the ingredients.

This is a super delicious, healthy and super effective smoothie. All the ingredients are essential for liver detoxification and boosting liver health. This smoothie will help in liver detox, hormone imbalance and also in losing weight.


Ingredients For Liver Detox Smoothie

1. 1/2 Beetroot 
2. 2-3 Kale leaves
3. 1 Apple
4. 1/2 Cup Berries
5. 1/2 Lemon
6. 2 inch Ginger
7. 2-inch Turmeric or 1/4 tsp. Turmeric powder
8. 1 Amla or 1/2 tsp. Amla Powder

Beetroot: Beetroots are rich in Iron hence helps in blood formation & blood circulation. Beetroots are very good natural blood cleanser. They are very rich in antioxidants thus helps the liver in detoxification.

Kale: Kale is rich in phytonutrients which help in getting rid of toxins, chemicals, and free radicals thus cleanse the blood and prevent cancer. Kale also has anti-inflammatory properties and is a rich source of vitamin K which helps in any inflammation inside the body.

Apple: Apples are high in fiber, rich in vitamins and minerals and contains many phytochemicals that fight the toxins and free radicals and help in detoxification of your body.


Lemon: Vitamin C in lemon helps in convert toxins into a water-soluble form which helps in easy elimination and detoxification. Vitamin C also helps in the breakdown of fat easily. I suggest that everyone should drink 1 lemon in 2 warm glass of water, first thing in the morning. This lemon drink gives your body a kick start and boosts metabolism.

Turmeric: Turmeric is a super root rich in antioxidants, has anti-inflammatory properties, anti-fungal properties, anti-bacterial properties. Turmeric helps in getting rid of the toxins from the body, helps with any inflammation inside the body, prevent any extra growth inside the body and also helps with any skin infections.

Ginger: Ginger is another super root. Ginger is an anti-inflammatory, anti-ulcer, and a very good antioxidant. Ginger also helps and support liver with any inflammation, and in detoxification process by getting rid of toxins.

Berries: Berries are a rich source of vitamins and minerals. Berries are also strong antioxidants which help the liver in getting rid of wastes and toxins.

Amla or Amla Powder: Amla is a very rich source of vitamin C which helps in liver cleansing and also helps in the breakdown of fat easily and thus supports the liver.

Add all these ingredients in a blender with 1/2 glass of water and blend well. Try this wonderful smoothie for one month for weight loss and detox. Drink at least 8 glasses of water every day. Eat healthy food. Stay away from refined sugar, refined flour, junk food and make your liver healthy and happy.
